01- The WHAT and WHY Grumpy Old Bears — a salute to Grumpy Old Bens

In this episode of Grumpy Old Bears, we deliver the introduction to the show with Theodore E. Bear (that is, Ted E. Bear), as well as the two co-hosts to the show (who are Matt and Sgt. Fred)

Mister Ted E. Bear, the grumpiest bear of all

The new podcast show is called Grumpy Old Bears,

and it is going in the category of “techno-industrial” as the topics to be discussed will cover podcasting, the podosphere, the new media and social media spaces, as well as the lame-stream media.

And the driving factor for this is the attitude that a group of grumpy old bears would have in discussing these topics — especially the audio voice host of the show, Mr. Bear (complete name is Mr. Ted E. Bear):

Mr. Bear is now 35 years old, and he is grumpier than ever.

Mr. Bear will introduce the show, as well as do the outro and intro for the episodes. He will also introduce and turn over the discussion to the 2 show co-hosts (experienced podcasters) who are:

So we hope that you enjoy the podcast episodes, with the series of topics that we will cover here at as Old Bears.

And after a welcome to the show by Mr. Bear to our co-hosts, we give an overview of the topics that we plan to cover — all with the intent of delivering some VALUE to you, in whichever way we can, i.e., either with comedy, knowledge, education, training, deconstruction of some instances and occurrences and news, as well as being just plan GRUMPY.

We try to answer these questions:

  • Why “Grumpy Old Bears”?
  • You see, we took the model from Grumpy Old Bens podcast;
  • We owe a lot to Ryan Bemrose and Darren O’Neill, since they gave us the outline of creating a podcast to address the topics of relevant value in today’s situations;
  • We also thank Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak for letting us later (not right now, just yet) venture into the value-for-value model;
  • Just enjoy the grumpiness of both Mr. Bear and the co-hosts.

Thank you for your attention and your future listening.
