09- Our patience is wearing thin for Grumpy Old Bears

In this very brief episode of The Grumpy Old Bears, we continue with a post with some current event topics.

Before we start this episode, we have a short note for our listeners concerning the availability of our Grumpy Old Bear co-host, Matt Cox. I finally got a lengthy text message from him where he stated that there was good news, and there was bad news. The good news was that he still had his day-job and he was not furloughed or laid off. In fact, he was earning more money, because he was now being asked to work up to 60 hours per week (or maybe more) — especially good because he is paid by the hour as a customer care rep for a firm involved in the travel industry. The bad news was that this was now consuming him entirely — both in mind and soul and in body. He was on the phone so much attending to customers all day that he could not keep speaking on a podcast for a while. So, what was once given as an estimated time frame for his overtime work was until October has now been shifted to December. And for myself, that means that he will be busy until after the Christmas and New Year’s rush, as these times in the travel and hotel industry are critical and time-consuming.

So, thus, I am planning for his return some time in December, or as late as January of 2022. Until then, we will keep plowing ahead with our episodes and creating and publishing them on a consistent basis, as we respect our listeners and our producers who have listened in to our content.

So for this episode, we discuss briefly the themes of:

  • possible implosion of political extremes — i.e., radical left;
  • possible implosion of the economy — with only a mere chance to recover by a change of administration and a return to reason with the realization of the damage done by the left and the democrats;
  • possible implosion of the health care system — and possible recovery after that;
  • possible involvement in another foreign war — since we are, at this time, still a wartime economy (maybe on its last legs) and the war can re-energize us;
  • the ridiculousness of having a statue in Union Square for criminal George Floyd — who thought of this? Soros?
  • And we both emphasize that “our patience is wearing thin” for Bo-Jiden and his idiotic blunders and clumsiness as we are ashamed of having him with the title of president;
  • n.b.: we shall defer to the climate change meme and what it could be like by 2030 until later;
  • and other current topics.

So, for now, we will continue with just two of us grumpy old bears — myself, Sgt. Fred, and Mr. Bear (and he cannot wait until December when he will welcome Matt again to the show, because Matt will do more work and Mr. Bear now has someone to whom he can shrug off the work).

Thank you for your attention.
